“Carbon for Kitchen” is a Star in San Sebastián

Our carbon fibre kitchen played a starring role at a recent event held by one of the leading architecture and design studios in the Basque Country.

Bastida Sukaldeak boasts four stores, and a very dynamic approach to research. Since opening in 1995 in the tourist city of San Sebastián on the Bay of Biscay, the company has expanded and evolved into a leading point of reference in the region. With a team attentive to every innovation and strongly motivated by its collaboration with Doimo Cucine, the company showed immediate interest in C4K, Carbon for Kitchen . This is the exclusive kitchen in carbon fibre and resin panels, designed by Doimo Cucine, inspired by the automotive and yachting sectors and the result of years of research and numerous tests.

The professionals at Bastida Sukaldeak immediately understood the potential of a product with unmatched characteristics of high technical performance and lightness, capable of revealing new worlds: kitchens that can become iconic thanks to a freedom of expression magnified to the highest degree. A true opportunity for architects, planners and designers willing to take risks and confront our contemporary era with creativity, thanks to a solution firmly grounded in tried and tested cutting-edge technologies.

The event was aimed specifically at architects, presented with a C4K kitchen in a setting that also included an area of D12 tall units finished in Canaletto walnut, whose thin doors feature a 100% recyclable aluminium core, and the new Hyde display cabinets. The overall result was further enhanced by a backlit block of stone used as a worktop, crafted by a local stonemason in Scalea Patagonia stone supplied by Cosentino.

Throughout the evening, the C4K kitchen was the star of a show-cooking event organised in collaboration with Miele Appliances, which provided its appliances for the occasion.
