Doimo Cucine at Casa Decor

From the 3rd of April to the 18th of May, Doimo Cucine will be front and centre in Madrid at the Spanish exhibition “La Esencia de la Materia”, with an immersive and site-specific experience by the artist Ainhoa Moreno.

Casa Decor is an itinerant Spanish event that combines the discovery of new trends in interior design what the rediscovery of the country’s architectural heritage. The organisers intention is to contribute to the recovery, public access and promotion of a rich cultural inheritance of historic buildings, spread across the nation.

The sixtieth edition of Casa Decor will be hosted in a historic building in Calle de Sagasta, constructed between 1899 and 1901, in Madrid’s Chamberí quarter. This elegant residential building, with its generous spaces, tall ceilings, abundant natural light and period details, will be subdivided for this event into more than fifty exhibition spaces. These include a room designed and inhabited by Doimo Cucine in collaboration with our retailers in the Spanish capital. This luxurious historic building will host the C4K project, with brings carbon fibre to the kitchen to offer the highest level of creative freedom. This island composition features Aspen doors in glossy black carbon in a Black aluminium frame, D23 doors in satin Piombo lacquer and a Laminam worktop in our new polished Fusion White finish. Another new finish, Synchroface Eucalipto smoke, has been used for selected details, such as open shelving, bookshelves, internal finishes and back panels.

The design emerges from a sculptural vision of the artist Ainhoa Moreno, who recycled the packaging used for our panels to create an experience that is an immersion in the energy of nature, in a refined balance between authenticity and sophisticated beauty. Let’s imagine the space together: suspended blocks of graphite, sculpted surfaces and essential geometries fluctuating in space. In this natural harmony of rock, at the centre a C4K kitchen stands like a sculpture carved out of carbon, an artwork that speaks of the transformation from pure essence to the perfection of contemporary design, which dominates the setting with daring and innovation and rises to the status of a work of art, titled: La Esencia de la Materia.
