New Packaging Line
Packaging made exclusively with recycled materials and a fully eco-friendly process that also brings a significant reduction in energy consumption.
Doimo Cucine’s new production line redefines the concepts of efficiency, sustainability and product safety. While our branded packaging was previously made with recycled materials, we have now taken a step further: we have managed to eliminate the final step – shrink-wrap sealing – that, even in minimal quantities, used a plastic film and consumed a certain amount of energy.
Operational since early February 2025, this new system employs packaging made entirely of cardboard, including sealing, for all assembled furniture. The process is divided into two main sections: one for base units and wall units, and another for tall cabinetry. These sections are almost fully automated thanks to a system of sensors and positioning devices that recognise the different types of packages, along with a series of conveyors, turntables, tilters, packing machines and strappers designed to handle each specific item and relieve our operators from the heaviest manual work. This automated packaging system folds and seals the flaps on the top and bottom of each box containing cabinetry and even completes the strapping on both sides.
These innovations minimise environmental impact, increase energy efficiency and ensure superior protection of cabinetry during handling and delivery. A perfect balance between sustainability, functionality and a focus on the future.
